Jan Rydfors
Dr Rydfors received his Medical degree and specialization training from Stanford University Medical Center where he is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor. Dr Rydfors has extensive experience in the workup and treatment of unexplained infertility and unexplained early pregnancy losses (Miscarriages) and has founded the Freyja Early Pregnancy Loss Clinic, where he, Dr Swiersz and Dr Asiaii offers these services. Over many years, within this clinic, Dr Rydfors has developed with Dr Swiersz and Dr Asiaii, the Freyja protocol®, a successful multidisciplinary and integrative program to prevent recurrent miscarriages and to solve unexplained Infertility, which attracts patients from all over the US. He is the initial creator and current Co-Author of the popular “Handbook in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Infertility,” now in its sixth edition, the main handbook used by the majority of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in training in the US. He is a cofounder of Bonafia® an AI company which is using retinal imaging and AI interpretation to evaluate and reduce Chronic systemic inflammation. It is using its technology for Endometriosis detection, Preterm Birth risk detection, IVF success prediction and Miscarriage risk prediction. He will stop doing deliveries after October 1, 2024 but continues to see pregnant people through their first trimester. Dr Rydfors is fluent in French, Spanish, Swedish and is proficient in Mandarin as well as other languages.

Mary Pravdin
Dr. Mary Pravdin is a board certified obstetrician-gynecologist who has extensive experience in high risk obstetrics and fertility treatment. She received her undergraduate degree from Stanford University, her medical degree from USC School of Medicine in Los Angeles and her specialization training from Kaiser Medical Center in San Francisco. Her interests are infertility, high risk obstetrics and minimally invasive gynecology. She has a special interest in Menopausal Medicine and Sexual Health.  She will stop doing deliveries after Jan 1, 2025 but continues to see pregnant people through their first trimester. She strives to practice in a compassionate and nonjudgmental style and finds an individualized approach to care for each patient. She is well known for her warmth and outstanding bedside manners. Dr Pravdin is fluent in Russian and also speaks some French and Spanish. She lives on the Peninsula and in her spare time, Dr Pravdin enjoys tavel, reading, dancing, and
spending time with her husband, 2 kids and their cat.

Lori Bluvas
Dr. Lori Bluvas is a Board-Certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist who has been in private practice on the Peninsula since 1999. During her career, she has participated in over 2000 births and has played a major role in the growth and success of Sequoia Hospital’s Birthing Center. She is an advocate of minimally- invasive surgery for gynecologic conditions and is skilled in advanced laparoscopic procedures. Born in Omaha, NE and raised in Mankato, MN, Dr. Bluvas attended Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island where she received undergraduate degrees in both Human Biology and Women Studies. She then returned to the midwest for medical school and residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Minnesota. While there, she was appointed to serve as Chief Resident at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis and received the Distinguished Teaching Award from her medical students and junior residents. In private practice, she continues her role as educator and strives to apply common sense and compassion to the medical and personal concerns other patients. She has been a member of the professional staff at Sequoia Hospital for over ten years and frequently receives referrals from her fellow physicians and health care professionals. She will stop doing deliveries after Jan 1, 2025 but continues to see pregnant people through their first trimester. Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Bluvas enjoys spending time with her children Jacob and Anna who were both born at Sequoia Hospital.

Lillian Swiersz
Dr Swiersz received her Medical training from Loyola Medical School in Chicago and her Specialization training at the Kaiser foundation in Oakland. She completed her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Stanford Medical Center and thereafter started the In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) program at the Palo Alto Medical foundation in Palo Alto. After having worked there for over 15 years, she chose to come to the Freyja Clinic and start their IVF program in order to complement their already existing strong fertility program. As a seasoned Reproductive Endocrinologist, Dr Swiersz has extensive experience in reproductive issues and with In-Vitro-Fertilization. She provides individualized and compassionate care for all forms of fertility issues and offers egg freezing as well as in vitro fertilization services.
Beyond this, she also has a strong interest in understanding and explaining unexplained infertility and miscarriages. She is a co-founder of the Freyja Early Pregnancy Loss Clinic, where she, Dr Rydfors and Dr Asiaii offers these services. Michelle Buenrostro
Michelle Buenrostro is Board Certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner who enjoys caring for patients through education and empowering them to care for their physical and mental state. Her experience has focused on caring for pregnant women and their developing baby and has attended over 600 births as a labor and delivery nurse early in her career. This experience has carried to current practice and enabled her to provide a full perspective of care for patients. She provides personalized care plans for individual needs while using collaborative practice knowledge, research, and integrative functional medicine for a true holistic approach to care. She provides compassionate care for patients for people with reproductive challenges and hopes to provide tools to facilitate a successful future pregnancy outcome.
Outside of practice Michelle enjoys volunteering at the elementary school and swim team her children attend.
Angie Tsuei
Dr. Angie Tsuei is a fellowship-trained endometriosis specialist, committed to advancing care for women affected by this complex condition. After earning her medical degree from Loyola Stritch School of Medicine and completing an OB/GYN residency, she pursued specialized fellowship training focused entirely on endometriosis diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management. She is passionate about empowering patients with answers, advocating for earlier diagnoses, and providing compassionate, comprehensive care. Dr. Angie Tsuei has dedicated her career to transforming the way endometriosis is understood and treated—because women deserve better.
